Trails Now Ready for Riding and Hiking!

For those of you who haven’t yet seen our recent Facebook and Etree posts – a lot of mowing and trail maintenance has been going on throughout the system thanks to Wendy McCalvy, Joe Bauer, Sandy DeWalt, neighboring property owners, and our trail clearing volunteers. Their efforts have paid off – nearly all of our trails are now cleared and in good condition for both riding and hiking. This includes the River Trail between 6 Mile and 7 Mile Road – thanks to Joe Bauer, who cleared the trees, fixed a culvert, and mowed the southern half of the trail, and to Wendy McCalvy, who mowed the northern half of the trail – along with most of the other trails within our system.

Check out the NEW King’s Corner Signage!
Following last month’s major improvements to King’s Corner – thank you once again Wendy and the Americorps volunteers – our CC volunteers Sandy DeWalt and Sally Pankonen have been busy putting up trails signs so you’ll always stay on course. The new signs were created last winter by members of the Racine Pony Club — thank you for your support! Photos of the new signs are posted below.

A special thanks to our volunteers and supporters for your hard work and support – we cannot thank you enough. We hope to see our riders and hikers enjoying these well-groomed trails in the coming weeks.
